풍선 조형물을 설치한 단체는 '세이프 AI 나우(SAIN·Safe AI Now)'다. SAIN은 종교 지도자와 아동 안전 단체, 시민단체 및 개인들로 구성된 연합체라고 소개했으며, 해당 풍선이 이날 오후 7시(미 동부시간)까지 전시될 예정이라고 밝혔다.

SAIN은 성명을 통해 "이 풍선은 투자자들에게 간단한 경고 메시지를 전달하기 위한 것"이라며 "머스크는 위험하고 착취적인 AI를 개발하고 그 피해를 은폐했으며, 스페이스X와 합병한 이후 그 책임을 주당 135달러에 일반 투자자들에게 떠넘기려 하고 있다"고 주장했다.
